A circle of strength……founded on faith…..joined in love…… kept by God.
My family is the most important thing to me. I have their pictures arranged in a collage at work so I can look up and see them. Sometimes when I am stressed and having a bad day I just look up and there they all are, just staring back at me. It gives me reassurance and encouragement that everything is going to be alright at the end of the day. Today I looked at that collage A LOT. It has just been one of those days that cause you stress. It was hectic and crazy, and if anything weird was going on, well today would be the day it would happen. It has been one of those days that you really just want to pack it all in and go back to the house.
However, at the end of the day, I get to go home. Home, a place that is peaceful and crazy all at the same time, but that is ok, because home is where I want to be. There is no where else I care to be. We have a small, old house. I use to complain about our little house, because things were not perfect. There is not a wall or floor that is straight and square. We have a million things that need done and I would get SO frustrated about how it looked. Then I realized that the outside does not matter, it is what’s on inside that counts. Family covers all those unpleasant looking spots. Family is what makes a home. I could have a mansion with all the most elegant amenities, but without my family living on the inside, it would be most undesirable. Family is the only important amenity that I care to have.
So at the end of this very long, and most exhausting day, I long to get up from my desk chair, pack up my things, turn of this computer, and head home to my family. I hope that you find your home….your family, more desirable than any other place in the world.
I found a poem that describes family perfectly. I enjoyed reading it and hope you do as well. God Bless you on the Tuesday afternoon.
A Family Is Like a Circle
A family is like a circle
the connection never ends
and even if at times it breaks
in time it always mends
a family is like the stars
somehow they’re always there
families are those who help
who support and always care
A family is like a book
the endings never clear
but through the pages of the book
their love is always near
A family is many things
with endless words that show
who they are and what they do
and how they teach you so you know
but don’t be weary if it’s broken
or if through time its been so worn
families are like that-
they’re split up and always torn
but even if this happens
your family will always be
they help define just who you are
and will be apart of you eternally
